November 2011
November features a festively colored cat of the month. This orange tabby cat is named BabyBoo. BabyBoo's human is a 14 year old named Haley. BabyBoo's favorite activities include wrestling with his twin brother Mooch, getting tickled by Haley, and chasing bouncy balls. His favorite sleeping place is right on top of the recliner in the living room. From here, he says he can "Watch everyone, especially a huge dog that scares me," Oh no! I hope that pooch stays away. I'm sure you can take him down even if not! Thanks for being our Cat of the Month, BabyBoo!

April's cat of the month is named Paris, and has written us a blurb about her daily life. Here goes: My name is Paris, I am 2 years 10 months old, I am a Russian Blue. I came to live with my parents at 8 months, my former human dad passed away, I love to hang out with my sister Presley ( which by the way she is my true sister) we came as a package deal. We are spoiled rotten - we have three full toy boxes, a pink petmate, and three condos, we are so loved. We just know it was meant for us to find this warm and loving home. Our human parents had just lost Angel Sonny Bono, so he sent us to them. Now we have a brother and he is an Angel, God always looks out for His animals. I am so proud to be COTM, I just know I will get lots of treats, prezzies and lovins, thank you, Hugs Paris. Thanks for being COTM, we are very proud of you too!

March's cat (Cats!) of the month are named Sabina and Gizmo. They live with their wonderful human named Joan. Sabina and Gizmo are 12 year old litter sisters. They still hang together and sleep together. A lady was getting rid of her cat's litter and Joan took two of the precious kittens. They are calicos and very sweet. Joan says "they have been wonderful in my life and they are very happy. They are also quite spoiled! When they sleep, they are both together on a heated animal pad." Joan, that's so sweet! I had two cats that were like that. :) I love hearing about animal buddies. Thanks for sharing with us!

February's cat of the month is Sylvester. Sylvester has a very tragic story to share about feline diabetes, which ultimately led to his death. Sylvester's message comes from his mommy, who warns animal lovers to make sure to check the indgredients of your cat food before you buy. She warns "big companies try to make their products appear to be healthy for cats and they aren't." She warns against corn being prime ingredients in cat food. "it's not a natural diet for (the cats)" she cautions. Her final message? "We believe the bad diet lead to Sylvester's diabetes, and probably took a few years off of his life." I hope people read this and think twice about what they feed their animals, cats, dogs, and any other furry friends inhabit their houses. January's cat of the month was named Blue. He was my cat growing up. Blue lived a long, full life out in the country with our other cats Bozo, Butthead, Rainbow, and O.P. Blue was a wonderful cat to have as a child, letting me pose him for photo shoots and other adventures. Blue often went for rides in a laundry basket placed on top of a skateboard or in a backpack on horseback. No kid could have asked for a better cat! I was so very lucky to have you in my life, Blue-y. :)

November's cat of the month was a black cat named Lightning. Lightning lives in Oregon with his human, Topher, who is a 4 year old boy. Topher and Lightning enjoy watching Spongebob Squarepants together and getting attention. Lightning was rescued from a pregnant stray cat and now spends his days sitting under Topher's mother's desk in front of the heater. Cats have such hard lives, don't they?

Indy is a 3 year old orange tabby who likes sleeping, eating, playing, biting, and catching lizards/small rodents. Along with her many likes, Indy also dislikes, such as being alone, not having the computer chair to sleep in, over-affection. Don't be fooled by how adorable she is, she is also extremely fiesty! She's always knocking over items that belong to her humans, Ashley and Dustin. Some of her pasttimes include knocking over Ashley's guitar (along with knocking over or breaking other objects) and tearing down the curtains, but they love her anyway. Thanks, Indy! Go get those curtains! :)
